Whats in Your Wallet?

“What’s in Your Wallet?”

My wallet is the source of my income, holder of my reminder notes, discount keeper and my source of self indulgence. The wallet is simply black designed with an intricate animal pattern with a silver heart decal on the front clasp. My wallet is similar to myself. On the outside I seem like a simple girl, but if you look deeper I am more detailed. My wallet identifies me as a young, busy, trendy woman.

Within the contents of my wallet is an assortment of rainbow colored cards. There are cards recognizable by yellow and red MasterCard logo to cards for clothing stores, coffee shops and car assistance. Along with these cards is a variety of white receipts for coffee, chinese food, book purchases and pink and purple post its for appointments, groceries, and everyday reminder notes. If ever I were to lose my wallet, the founder would be opening a book on my life. The founder would assume I was a young, busy, trendy woman. They would notice I was young and trendy because of my vertical driving license, student I.D card, gemmed bobby pins and my many beauty and clothing store discount cards. I would be busy because of the rainbow of reminder post it notes flooding my wallet, the variety of fast food receipts, and my two different work schedules.

However despite the label the founder would apply to me, they wouldn’t be able to tell that I am lively, humorous and a motivated goal setter. My wallet would give a vague outline of where I stand in this world currently, but it doesn’t allow the person to know my personality. My ambitions and ideas would be unclear to them and they wouldn’t see that there is more to my life then school, work and fast food.
